Terms and conditions

This is an English translation for your convenience. The Romanian version is the one that applies: read it in Romanian.

Who we are

The website werdnighoffman.ro is run by Asociația Werdnig Hoffman (the Werdnig Hoffman Association), referred to below as the “Association” or “AWH”, entered in the Register of Associations and Foundations under no. 7329/A/2008, tax ID (CIF) 24623073, with its registered office at Str. Progresului nr. 28, Carei, jud. Satu Mare, 445100, Romania. You can email us at [email protected], call us at 0744 666 715 or write to us at our registered office.

On the website you can find out what the Association does, make a donation, fill in Form 230 and write to us through the forms. The terms below apply to all of these. The “Privacy policy” explains how we use personal data.

Donations

A donation is voluntary support for AWH's statutory activities, including the costs of carrying them out. You do not receive a product or service in return, and you do not become a member of the Association. There is no delivery, no shipping cost and no delivery time. If you choose a specific purpose for your donation, we will not change it without your consent.

For now, you can donate by bank transfer, in lei or euros, to the Banca Transilvania accounts shown on the “Donate” page. We are in the process of activating card payment through euPlătesc, and the rules on card payment below apply from the time it appears on the website.

Company sponsorships under Law no. 32/1994 on sponsorship and the Romanian Tax Code are made through a separate contract, which you can download from the website.

Card payment

The card donation form is for people aged 18 or over. You choose the amount, fill in the details requested and accept these terms using a box that is not checked in advance. You pay on the secure euPlătesc page, a service provided by EuroPayment Services S.R.L., with a Visa or Mastercard card and, if your bank requires it, with 3-D Secure authentication. AWH does not see or store your card number or CVV/CVC code and will never ask you for them by email or phone.

We do not add any fees to the amount you choose; the Association pays the processing fee. Your bank may charge its own fees or apply an exchange rate. Your donation is confirmed on the screen and by email once euPlătesc reports the result of the payment. We may refuse or refund a transaction if there are signs of an error, fraud or unauthorized use of the card.

If the form offers a monthly donation, the donation repeats only if you explicitly choose that option. Before you confirm, you see the amount, how often it is charged and the date of the first charge, and the confirmation email tells you how to stop it. We do not change the amount or frequency without a new authorization.

Cancellation and refunds

A donation is not a purchase, so the right of withdrawal from distance contracts does not apply. We still offer you the following:

• •You can cancel your donation at any time until you authorize the payment on the euPlătesc page. Once you have authorized it, closing the page does not cancel the transaction.
• •You can ask for a full or partial refund of a card donation within 14 calendar days of the charge, without giving a reason. For a monthly donation, this period runs separately for each charge.
• •We review mistaken, duplicate or unrecognized payments, including a bank transfer made in error, even after the 14 days have passed, and we refund any overpayment.
• •You can stop a monthly donation at any time, free of charge, using the method shown in your confirmation email or by writing to us. We stop future payments within 2 business days, and if you are charged after we have received your request, we refund that charge.

Send your request to [email protected] with the subject “Restituire donație” (donation refund), your name, the date and amount of the payment and, if you have it, the transaction ID. Do not send your card number, CVV/CVC code or banking passwords. We reply within 5 business days. We start an approved refund within 14 calendar days, to the card you used, through euPlătesc, or to the account you made the transfer from, without deducting any fees. When the money appears in your account depends on your bank.

Form 230

With Form 230 you can direct up to 3.5% of your income tax to AWH. You do not pay anything extra: ANAF (the Romanian tax authority) calculates the amount and transfers it out of the tax you owe anyway. Having AWH collect and file your form is free of charge.

On the “Form 230” page you fill in the details requested and sign on the screen. Your browser fills in the official form, which reaches us by email, and you can download a copy. If you prefer paper, email us a scan of the signed form and send us the original by post or bring it to our registered office. Fill in only your own details. The boxes for agreeing that ANAF may share your name, personal code (CNP) and the amount with us, and for redirecting for two years, are not checked in advance, online or on paper.

We file the forms with ANAF in the summary statement (“Situația centralizatoare”) provided for in ANAF President's Order no. 103/2025 (the ANAF order on Form 230), no later than May 25 of the year after the one in which you earned the income (for income earned in 2026, by May 25, 2027). The confirmation on the website only shows that your form has reached us; we do not guarantee a particular amount or transfer date. If you made a mistake or changed your mind, write to us as soon as possible: until we file, we can take your form out of the summary statement or replace it with a new one that you sign, and after filing we will tell you what steps to take with ANAF. Refunds do not apply to Form 230, because it is not a payment.

Using the website

Use the website lawfully, without interfering with its security or operation. The texts, photos and videos belong to AWH or to the rights holders named and may be reused only with their consent or where the law allows. There may be technical interruptions, which we fix to the extent they are within our control. We do not guarantee the operation of third-party services, such as banks, the payment processor or ANAF, and nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be excluded by law.

Complaints

If you have a problem, email us at [email protected]; we reply within 5 business days. We try to settle any disagreement amicably, which does not prevent you from contacting the National Authority for Consumer Protection (ANPC, anpc.ro), the data protection authority (ANSPDCP) or the competent courts. Romanian law applies.

Changes to these terms

The date of the latest update appears at the top of the page. Changes do not alter the terms of donations already made, and an active monthly donation does not change without your consent.
